Manhattan

Damon Runyon Boyhood Home
- This well-known newspaper columnist and playwright has been called the "Father of Broadway" and wrote the popular play Guys and Dolls.

Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art is located on the K-State campus and displays and studies visual art, mostly photographs, drawings, and prints, of local and Kansas-wide artists.

The Riley County Historical Museum was created to educate and share with the public the history of Riley County. There are permanent and temporary exhibits including artifacts, photos, and records pertaining to the county. Located next door to the museum is the Goodnow House, the former residence of Isaac and Elizabeth Goodnow who were instrumental in making Kansas a slavery-free state. Isaac Goodnow went on to found what would become Kansas State University.

Junction City

The U.S. Cavalry Museum located at Fort Riley is dedicated to preserving and displaying the history and artifacts of the U.S. Cavalry from 1775-1950. There is also a 1st Infantry Division Museum on post as well.

The Buffalo Soldier Memorial is dedicated to the 9th and 10th Buffalo Soldier Cavalry stationed at Fort Riley and were part of various American conflicts and wars.

The Geary County Historical Museum exhibits what life was like in the area during the early pioneer days. On display are a replica county schoolroom, a 1920s Victorian-era parlor room, Plains Indians artifacts, and a Union Pacific depot ticket office.
